Automation helps us achieve that fundamental goal. It facilitates the expansion of in-house technical skills and allows us to drive competitive advantage in the market place.

It is during the “down-cycles” in the industry that Mayday takes the time to develop, practice, and hone strategies, so that we are ready for the next upward surge in the aerospace industry. Machining automation is just one of several strategies; others include inspection equipment with SPC validation, and packaging operations with bar-coding capabilities.

In support of automation, significant investments have been made to our information technologies capabilities, including: Document Control Software which allows for digital indexing of all data, Customized Quote System Software which utilizes real-time data from historical manufacturing, and our fully integrated ERP Software which allows us full visibility on all production and work-flow systems to maximize productivity, capable-to-promise, and synchronization.

Ultimately, our goal with automation is “Lights Out” Manufacturing.
