Who is Mayday?
Mayday is a global supplier of precision bushings, sleeves, pin, and spacers to the aerospace, defense, and homeland security markets. Mayday also has significant capability in turned parts that include milled features such as flange flats, slots, grooves, notches, and tangs. In addition, tougher close tolerance components made from high risk raw materials have been a particular success for us over the last 25 years.
In its production over 130,000 different part numbers for nearly all major OEM design groups, Mayday serves a global customer base. Our confidence lies with our ability to produce a superior components within a reasonable period of time; and we understand that meeting an agreed delivery date is paramount.
By partnering with two other companies, Mayday is able to provide a strong competitive advantage in the highly competitive aerospace marketplace. One company, a co-located metal finishing shop, affords us the advantage of decreased routing times from one shop to the next, as well as open communications with senior management in developing win-win solutions to any unforeseen challenges. The second partnering company is a casting and rough machine shop with a rich heritage in the aerospace industry. By maintaining a strong relationship with both partners Mayday garners an advantage which significantly reduced standard lead time and insures the integrity of delivery commitments.

In 2009, the partners of Mayday Manufacturing sold the majority share of ownership of the business to another aerospace corporation, Tailwind Technologies, Inc. They are the parent company of Hartzell Propeller, Hartzell Engine Technologies, Hartzell Aerospace, and now Mayday. Tailwind Technologies is organized to facilitate growth and to leverage certain core competencies through the acquisition of additional operating companies. Tailwind has a long and steady track record of profitable growth dating to the acquisition of Hartzell Propeller in 1987. Although organizationally structured under Tailwind, Mayday operates as stand-alone business.
Since its founding in 1966, Mayday has always been a customer-service driven company. Each team-member developed initiative focuses on meeting customer needs. Recent programs such as light assembly, cellular machining, and kit packaging have furthered that customer-focused mentality.
